Make relative links on the home page target _self not _blank

I put some relative links to hidden pages in the text of my home page and would like these to open in the same window. However they are rendered with target="_blank" in the link tag.

That makes sense I guess if I put a full URL to another site, but since I put a relative link, could this be detected and be rendered with target=”_self” instead?
